Are you a fully qualified accountant or have extensive experience working within an accounts team?

Do you possess a sound understanding of financial software?

As Connections Accountant for the Networks Finance team, you will manage and control over 15,000 electricity connections projects per year. Your role will include monitoring and managing annual budgets and forecasts for two of Southern regions, with Networks Managers, to set challenging targets and report income and profit performance on a monthly basis. You will build effective relationships with Commercial and Operational staff responsible for project delivery, and work with them to ensure good financial control of projects, cost allocations and meeting of financial targets.

In addition, you will review and manage the profitability of ongoing projects and completed projects with regional and commercial staff to deliver annual budget. You will provide financial guidance and training, where required, to Networks business staff in the use of project accounting, including project billing. You will be responsible for excellent financial control including control account reconciliations for Work in Progress and Deferred Income balances. You will also work closely with the Connections Finance Manager to ensure processes and procedures are operating effectively.
