An exciting opportunity has arisen due to Customer growth, to work with a major logistics & shipping Client.

If you have Team leader experience in Ocean Freight, then this may be the challenge you are looking for

You will be experienced & ready to manage, develop and lead a customer focused Ocean Freight Support Team, effectively supporting customers & their operational & service requirements.

Your experience already demonstrates knowledge & best practice within industry standards, you are compliant & well versed in country and international laws & processes, & you are willing to implement that knowledge into your responsibility & Team; ensuring your team achieves/maximises Branch Gross Profit Targets.

Your Team provides the effective and efficient management of export/import shipments for all your customers to/from global destinations, ensuring they are tracked, monitored and invoiced correctly to the customer, and managed in accordance with industry standards in mind at all times.

You will ensure all required policies and procedures & compliance with all country and international laws are followed.

You & your respective Team will take ultimate responsibility of :
Accurate and timely billing of customers
Effective and timely management of Income Reserves (AR, COD, and Duty and VAT), Credit Reserves
Accurate accruing of reserves and timely reversal once costs have been received in
Ensuring rent/demurrage/storage costs, where applicable, are not incurred by your company, through effective and timely management of transport collections and deliveries, or through agreement, where possible, with the customer for these costs to be billed back to them.
All Creditor invoices are checked for accuracy and passed for payment in line with deadlines. Where imperfections are identified, you action timely resolutions & clearance of issues.
Accurate and timely management of Events in to the appropriate system (eg Procars/Tango/Ciel)
Overseeing files & assuring complete and accurate documentation (customs compliance, operational and accounting) - this should include the Team Leader undertaking regular file audits to understand whether further support and training is required
