CNC Programmer

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Offline CNC Programmer to join our client, a well-established engineering manufacturer in Leeds. Due to an expanding order book they require another CNC Programmer to join the team.

Your role will involve responsibility for optimum CNC Programming and methods of production to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and to customer's specifications. You will prepare CNC programmes including creating models and 2D drawings. You will have previous experience with programming Siemens, Heidenhain and Fanuc and Siemens NX10 CAD/CAM. The role includes deciding the best method of machining process for assigned projects including tooling and set up requirements for a variety of machinery. You will have the ability to modify existing programmes to improve production methods and will liaise with operators and tooling engineers on best practise to improve cutting tool life.

Ideally you will hold an HNC or equivalent in engineering and will have previously worked in a similar role. You will have experience with simulation software and an understanding of lean manufacturing.
