Server Support / Infrastructure Support Team Leader

Become a part of a best-in-class data center support team, responsible for the deployment and technical support of HP servers and converged systems in a Global Data center environment. This role covers everything from the physical delivery and deployment of the equipment / installation services, quality assurance testing, maintenance and ongoing technical support services.


The focus of the role will be to:

Lead a team of server engineers and support a large data center with 30,000 ProLiant servers

- Lead Team of onsite engineers, working across multiple Data Centers in Dublin to keep call volumes below allowed levels.
- Provide support and training to field and resident engineers as required.
- Working with mobile systems engineering team to ensure total support capability
- Deployment HPE Servers, bootstrap testing to a high tolerance,
- Technical support of the customer data center environment
- Management of cases through to completion on both HPE and Customer call management systems to customer SLA's
- Analysis of cases through in house case management systems to determine priority and advise management and engineers of ongoing issues.
- Attend customer meetings regarding technical issues.
- Triage work queues weekly to give engineers best chance of repairing issues quickly and efficiently.
- Work with SDM on deployment of resources to correct area when required.
- Be onsite point of contact for HPE, SDM and customer on escalations and queries.

You will be working for a large multinational IT company, who are at the forefront of providing hardware components as well as software and related services to its consumers.

You will mainly support the grange castle data center while occasional supporting 2 other data centers placed in Dublin. As a Team Leader you will be offered a permanent role with healthcare, pension plan, life insurance and a salary of €45,000 - €48,000 depending on your experience.


The Ideal Team Leader:

The Ideal team leader is passionate about working with servers and loves to work hands on with hardware. Furthermore, you will possess strong troubleshooting skills, ability to manage escalations, and some experience with Team Lead, Site Lead or Technical Lead. To be successful in the role you will need to have a strong knowledge of servers together with experience troubleshooting, installing, maintaining and testing any kind of IT hardware. It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of HP server and blade platforms.
