Quality Technician
Role Description:
Assures consistent quality of production by ensuring that products comply with quality standards. Internal liaison with assembly & other departments
Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team, validating that products are manufactured to the required quality standard, through:-
- Day to day problem solving and liaison with supporting departments.
- % sample inspection
- Creation of Quality Control Features (MS PowerPoint) and Quality Standard Operations
- Part Submission Warrants of new Made On Works parts / sub assemblies
- Quarantine and Release of suspect defective product.
- Layered Process Audits
- 5S of work area
- Assistance with Line Trials
- 8D problem solving
Key Tasks:
Assisting and Involvement with new product introduction, including PFMEA & 3P process
Supervision, mentoring and training of Auditors and Product Checkers on shift
Additional Skills/Qualifications Required:
- Computer literacy - experience in working with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Access, along with FLE01.
- Qualifications - Educated to GCSE level (min), although higher level desirable.
- Self-motivation - as working on their own and as part of a team is required.
- Good Communication skills - be able to communicate concerns found to peers and supervision, verbally or via e-mail.
- Flexibility - working of different product ranges, shifts in peak season and overtime.
- Quality Experience - Knowledge of 8D, PPAP & Quality techniques desirable
