An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for a Procurement Assistant based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Port Sunlight, Wirral. This is a full time temporary role to start immediately until July 2018, working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying up to £26535 per annum. pro rata, depending on experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The European Customer Packaging Team is part of the Market Procurement Network. The team is responsible for the procurement of Corrugated packaging for all UL sites in Europe.
The Procurement Assistant will report to the European Procurement Manager and will perform the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the team to achieve its goals and objectives and monitor target delivery
Full contract administration:
Creation and updating contracts in SAP CLM
Ensuring contracts (UPC/CTCs) are returned signed from suppliers following the Procurement WoW
- Supporting USQS compliance
- Ensuring suppliers return signed Specifications
- Co-ordinating procurement projects as required
- Managing supply chain issues (e.g. incident management)
- Identifying metrics, tools and processes to optimise ways of working
- Business partnering - represent the procurement function when interacting with the other functional areas (e.g. R&D, Logistics, Operations, Sourcing Units)
- Building and managing relationships with suppliers & internal customers/stakeholders
- Where needed discussing new innovations with suppliers
- Measuring and managing overall quality performance of suppliers
- Supporting the forecasting process
- Support the Procurement Manager as required
- Processing of Invoices
Key Skills/ Experience:
Experience in Procurement
- Procurement contract experience essential
- Excellent analytical and IT skills; Advanced Excel; SAP; DCIW (Invoice systems) knowledge essential
- Proven network skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Able to handle fast moving requirements
- Good understanding of business economics
- Proven record in problem solving
- Project management
- Experience of working within complex and virtual teams preferred
- Fluent in English

- Team Alignment
- Strong Organisation skills
