IT Support Repair Technician
Job Description: IT Support /1st line
My Client is a premium food manufacturing site, looking for a hands on I.T 1st Line Support technician as an addition to their small (5) & friendly Team. You will be supporting the manufacturing business with both remote & hands on I.T support on both hardware & software issues around the site.
This is a role that offers a flexible working pattern, core hours are 0830 - 1700, however they welcome those who can work earlier or later shifts to accommodate the working patterns of the rest of the factory, & the ability to offer support outside of office hours.

As IT Support Associate, how does your day look?
- Response to helpdesk calls in a timely and professional manor.
- Answering phone calls email etc. offering resolution where possible
- Troubleshooting and setup of all systems as required:
- Completion of daily tasks and assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Escalating issues to colleagues and 3rd
- Basic user administration (setting up users password resets etc.)
- Follow company polices and procedures.
- General administration tasks e.g.
- Microsoft windows.
- Microsoft office and other applications.
- Mobiles
- VPN
- Other hardware and software (remote & hands on).
- Updating records
- Placing orders with suppliers.
- Updating documentation.
- Keeping our workspace tidy
Essential Skills and experience.
- Team player.
- Polite and professional.
- Logical and methodical with a problem solving approach to work
- Excellent verbal communication (on phone and in person)
- Good written communication.
- Flexibility to react quickly, reschedule and prioritise workload
- Understanding of basic networking.
- Eager to learn new skills & grow into a fully rounded IT Technician
- 2 year's experience of comical I.T. or an .I.T qualification.
Additional desirable experience:
- Experience of call logging and troubleshooting by phone using remote tools.
- Experience of troubleshooting in person.
- Experience of user administrative tasks such as password resets.
- Pro-activeness to think ahead and identify tasks that need to be carried do them.
- Experience of general admin tasks
- Knowledge of:
- Backup systems
- Virtualisation
- Networking principles
- VPN
- Mobile device administration.
- Antivirus
o Mobile device administration.
Additional ad hoc duties as the business requires & skills allow.
