Quality Technician £25k Kidlington
A component manufacturer is looking for a Quality Technician to work on a night shift. You will be responsible in assisting the Quality Manager to ensure compliance are in line with the sites Quality Management System, final batch release and the creation of Quality Assurance documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To support production team in sampling and approval of parts at the start and end of the production run. Carry out quality checks and inspect in process samples according to documented instructions, ensuring the satisfactory quality of the product prior to batch release.
- Use experience and product knowledge to assist Shift Managers, Section Leaders and Setters in achieving good quality product during all production processes. Record and communicate all quality issues to the relevant Supervisors/Management Team. Maintain production run documents etc (First Off's, Last off's, samples, Mould Files and ICF's) to ensure clarity of information retained review and use of data for future improvements.
- The key focus of the position is the support the daily manufacturing operations to ensure production is completed to quality standards that meet and exceed customer requirements and expectations, and minimise potential for waste. The role provides encouragement on a daily basis for good quality production by supporting and promoting good practice at all times. Success is demonstrated through targeted improvement in manufacturing KPIs, specifically Internal Manufacturing PPM and the timely resolution of issues that arise.
- Act as the voice of the customer in manufacturing issues and to have customer service/satisfaction as a guiding principle that has perceptible impact on manufacturing decisions. Drive the appreciation of the implications and responsibilities of good quality production, RFT processes and value added activities. Quantified and measured through clear reduction in Customer Concerns.
Job Requirements
You should have the following skills, experience and/or qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience of working to Quality Standards
- Experience of working within a factory environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Effective communication
- Self-motivated, shows initiative and has the ability to multi task
- Confident attitude with the ability to deal with staff at all levels
- PC Literate
