Sales & Marketing Account Controller

£34-36k, Washington

An opportunity has arisen for a Sales and Marketing Account Controller based in Washington. The successful candidate must have excellent organisational skills and be capable of working alone and as part of a team. The role will also require the successful candidate to represent the company when dealing with external customers.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Work with senior members of the Sales team to assist in developing pricing for current and future business.
• Maintain price tracking documents as well as management and update of internal systems to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.
• Maintain vehicle and part volume milestone trackers.
• Complete sales forecasting and report compilation for reporting mechanisms into senior member of the Sales team.
• To provide the customer with a high quality point of contact.
• Work closely with other functions to ensure that the interests of the company are fully represented during negotiations with the Customer.
• Attend various regular cross-functional meetings including Project Management, Design Change Control, Technical Cost Reduction, etc.
• Recover costs associated with design changes, tooling modifications and other customer-instigated activities.
• Monitor raw material cost and foreign exchange movements and maximise recovery within sales prices.

Requirements

• Educated to HND or Degree level (preferably in Engineering or Business).
• Previous experience in a similar role within the Automotive Industry is preferred but not essential. Graduates with a relevant degree would be considered.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Self-sufficient in use of MS Office software, especially Excel.

Additional Information

• Some travel within UK and Europe, occasionally Worldwide.
• French and/or Spanish language skills would be an advantage but not essential.
