Plater

Our client who is a prestigious company based in Middlesbrough are looking to hire Platers for a long term project.

To be considered for this role you will be an apprentice trained Plater from a heavy engineering background suited to working in a fabrication shop on large scale structures

Specific Duties will involve

Reading and interpreting drawings
Measuring, marking, cutting, drilling and punching
Using roll bending machines and presses
Guiding cranes and hoists for moving and assembling plates
Tack welding

Essential qualifications and experience

A recognised apprenticeship
Experience of working in Heavy Engineering
Understanding of material traceability/marking

Desirable qualifications and experience

Overhead Crane Licence
Cherry Picker Licence
Tack Welding (FCAW/MCAW) experience
