IT Service Desk Apprenticeship

Salary: £14,325 Per Annum, Plus great benefits

Shifts: Full Time - Monday to Friday

Manpower is recruiting for an IT Service Desk Apprentice on behalf of our client located in Central London. The role is a 2 year fixed term apprenticeship, and based within the Public Sector.

THE ROLE:

You will provide high-quality customer service, technical advice and support alongside the service desk team. Operate effectively and work to Service Desk Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) and comply with best practice. Day-to-day tasks will include:-

  • Handle the day-to-day work that is generated by telephone calls, via the service portal and face-to-face employees to the IT Service Desk, providing an efficient, effective and customer focused service to stakeholders.
  • Support the satisfactory conclusion of all incidents as quickly as possible in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Log all calls received in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with IT Service Desk procedure.
  • Participate in regular team meetings.
  • Maintain an understanding of customer focused service delivery.
  • Awareness of working within a customer service or service desk environment.
  • Awareness of working with procedural guidance and sharing information with customers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft computer applications including Excel and Word.
  • A good standard of verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a range of audiences.
  • Travel will be required to the Birmingham office on a monthly basis.THE APPRENTICE:
  • Have an understanding of IT
  • Have the ability to communicate well both in person and on the telephone
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Ideally have A* - C grades in GCSE Maths and English, Functional Skills at level 2 or equivalent in Maths, English and ICT.This apprenticeship opportunity is supported with a Level 2-4 IT qualification. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, candidates may have the opportunity to apply for a permanent position within the company.
