My Client a large, well established FMCG business within the D8 area now has a vacancy for a Trainee Procurement / Buyer Specialist to learn the business and develop their career within the procurement team in a large, very busy parts supplier operation.

This is a full-time position and full training is offered to the right candidate.

This is a very exciting opportunity for someone with a strong interest and /or some experience working within an electrical, mechanical or industrial sector, or maybe even direct experience working with some stores/parts distribution business.

We are looking for someone who can work well in a very busy team and on your own also. He/she, must be keen and eager to learn the business and develop their career within the Procurement / Buyer sector.

Salary: €28K - €30K. Mon to Thurs, 8am to 4.30pm, Fri 8am to 3.30pm. (Full time, Perm role).

Leaving Certificate or equivalent, good computer skills, experience using SAP a definite plus, Excel in ECDL or demonstrable experience, experience using an ERP system or similar.

Training will include the following:

·Updating computerised stock system to ensure sufficient products and materials are available

·Following up with suppliers for order times and status

·Liaise with other departments to identify any shortfalls in stock or materials

·Place orders and progress to confirm sufficient stock levels are maintained

·Learn a detail knowledge of equipment/specialist tools/parts/costing/ordering/suppliers/special projects/ how to research and costs parts.
