The Learning Specialist will be a key member of the Learning & Development Team providing Learning & Development support to a key site project having the ability to co-ordinate activities and schedules in a fast-moving environment.
He/She will be accountable for the smooth execution of their set goals. He/She will work closely with the team lead to fully participate in the overall team and project performance.

Activities include:
Develop, implement and evaluate training content to ensure organisational readiness for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Ensure strong project focus and ability to work closely with the Project Manager(s) in coordinating training deliverables and meeting project scope and will own assigned tasks for the entire project, or portions of project.

Training and Development:
*Coordinates training plans and programs for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility to meet departmental training objectives.
*Conducts training and ongoing training evaluations to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommends more complex training modifications as necessary.
*Development of Learning plans for business and functional areas.
*Implementation of comprehensive training programs to ensure excellent capabilities across all roles, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
*Continually evaluates training progress and effectiveness and update training material when necessary.
*Serves as a trusted training resource and ensures training materials, plans and/or programs reflect business needs and organisational readiness of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
*Manages Technical Training initiatives to improve technical knowledge on new processes/equipment/products.
*Researches and develops new innovative technologies and strategies that enhance the design and delivery of training programs, in line with adult learning principles
*Proactively collaborates and communicates with appropriate internal/external stakeholders to address more complex training gaps to optimise organisational performance.
*Participate in risk assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations.
*Supports and participates in collaborating with and leveraging key internal relationships, departments and divisions, to meet end-user needs.
*Control of area expenditure within budgetary limits.
*Articulates and advocates for the work of the project.
*Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) or responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
*Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
*Ensure compliance with cGMP and other business compliance regulations.
*Remains current in profession and industry trends.

Degree or 3rd level qualification (Business, Science).
*A Learning and Development qualification is desirable.
*At least 5 years' experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating environment.
*Demonstrated knowledge in more than one pharmaceutical and/or chemical manufacturing operation (e.g. Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, etc.).
*Organisation Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and to know when to escalate issues for resolution
*Learning Delivery: Knowledge of methods and alternatives for delivering learning solutions
*Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
*Project Management qualification such as Project Management Professional.
*Desirable evidence of Continuous Professional Development.

Skillset:
*Knowledgeable in Learning and Development.
*Ability to respond to changing priorities.
*Knowledge of technical training curriculum and design processes, and development of skills Qualification programmes Experience in the biologics manufacturing industry is advantageous.
*Adult Learning Theory and Practice: Knowledge of concepts and practices of adult learning and its application to the workplace.
