At Manpower we currently have an HR Specialist opportunity on contract to cover Maternity Leave on site with one of our Key Clients based in Galway.

Onsite HR Generalist – Galway (Maternity Cover)

The function of this role is to ensure the efficient and successful operation of all HR procedures, processes and productivity on our client site. The team you will be joining is responsible for delivery of agreed client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You will be operating in a client facing capacity as a key member of the onsite HR team representing Manpower and an important point of contact for our employees. As an ideal candidate you will have a good grounding in HR knowledge and processes. You will be responsible for delivering strategic and value add projects as well as continuous process improvements and the management of your designated teams.

Responsibilities

  • You will ensure HR policies, procedures and processed are carried out, adhered to and updated as necessary
  • Performance management of our workforce – appraisals, evaluation performance, HR clinics etc.
  • You will be equitable and consistent in your application of our policies, whether in relation to grievances or disciplinary issues
  • You will be an integral part of the team reporting to the Account Manager
  • You will be focused on adding value through strategic alignment with our client’s core values
  • You will create and implement people centric ideas and innovations in consultation with our client
  • You will provide weekly and monthly reports to the Account Manager
  • Your remit will include the need to ensure in line with impending GDPR implementation that all administrative aspects are correct and up to date which include but are not limited to:
  • Payroll and holiday/absence tracking
  • Employee details 
  • Expenses
  • Relocation monitoring (where necessary)
  • You will provide employees with guidance on their development and training
  • You will work to devise new methods to analyse and improve upon trends in attrition/absenteeism/timekeeping
  • Devise Reward Schemes for existing employees

Requirements

  • HR or related 3rd level Qualification
  • Minimum 1-2 years HR experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Be able to work autonomously and under pressure
  • Have the ability to manage time and tasks to maximum benefit
  • Ability to be client-facing and to provide a best-in-class customer experience
