ELECTRICAL TECHNICIANS - ENGINEERING
HEATHROW AIRPORT -
BASIC SALARY - £31,985.21 - £33,665.75 + SHIFT ALLOWANCE - £6,397.04 - £6,733.15 PER YEAR + OVERTIME
12 HOUR SHIFT PATTERNS - 4 ON 4 OFF - 42 AVERAGE HOURS PER WEEK
The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and The roles will also involve electrical installations. The candidate will also be expected to have 2491 Inspection & Testing as well as their 17th edition qualifications.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
- Responsible for ensuring the baggage system is operational and ready to receive baggage product at the start of the operational day.
- Responsible to attending and maintaining the baggage equipment.
- Responsible for responding to faults around the baggage system.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure full team compliance with HAL Regulations
- Apply technical acumen/ competence when rectifying planned or reactive faults on the baggage system
- To work with Duty Engineering Managers (DE) during the operational day to provide system support
- To provide comprehensive updates to Baggage Control Room (BCCR) from field
- To ensure the team meets all relevant KPIs and SLAs
- To ensure 100% compliance with statutory training requirements
- To ensure a high level of communications is established and maintained with all employees
- To ensure all company equipment is kept in good working order and any loss or damage reported immediately
- To identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives
- To promote the highest levels of professionalism and image in our customer service environment
- To ensure the standards of housekeeping and presentation match the quality requirements of my client and our customers
- To operate an injury and incident free operation by reporting any area of concern around the baggage system
- Generate initiatives to improve operational control and overall performance
- To commit to the concept of constant improvement in our procedures, protocols and operation technique
- Protect the information assets of the Company and comply with the Company's Information Assurance policies and procedures at all times
