The main purpose of the role is to oversee day-to-day activities of the Digital Content Editors including content scheduling, production and publishing activities. You will ensure that brand, legal, compliance, and editorial standards and style guidelines are adhered to for all published content. You will implement the content requirements of the digital services strategy, develop content plans and deliver service improvements. You will also work with the wider digital services team, marketing, optimisation and analytics teams to improve the quality of content and digital services.

Other accountabilities include managing the development, production and delivery of all digital content. You will have editorial sign-off and approval on content for publication. You will maintain brand and content production standards by adhering to brand guidelines. Review analytics reports and customer feedback metrics to evaluate live performance and propose changes to content where appropriate. We are looking for the ideal candidate to be an advocate of good content, user experience and design within the website.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as maintaining good working relationships with colleagues at all levels is important in this role. You will be calm under pressure and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities. A creative and innovative person with outstanding writing and editing skills who is able to work to deadlines without close supervision.

Anything else?

Yes - It is important that you have a good understanding of search engine optimisation (SEO) for content and it would be helpful to have some familiarity with Google Analytics or similar analytics tools. It is also important that you are have some understanding of HTML and CSS and have some experience with web content management systems (CMS). You should be engaged in the latest developments and changes in the web and keep up to date with the latest practices to adapt content to those changes. An understanding of how to maximise social media engagement would also be valuable.
