The Database Assistant will support the operations of the University's Alumni Relations office. The postholder will assist with the maintenance of the Alumni Association's database, ensuring that information is accurate, up-to-date, comprehensive and effective, as well as assisting in the administration of the Association's programme of communications and events. The postholder will also provide administrative support to the Alumni team.
Specifically, the postholder will be required:
Some evening and weekend work may be required. All staff in the Marketing and Communications Department are required to support Open Day and Clearing activity, so restrictions are in place relating to the booking of holiday during mid-August and on other key days of the year.

Birmingham City University's Alumni Association was established in 2004 (under the name University of Central England in Birmingham Alumni Association), with the aim of maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship between the University and its alumni. The Association has grown from a standing start to being in contact with over 55,000 members. Effective engagement between the University and its former students plays an integral role in the delivery of the University's mission and vision.
