Due to an increase in orders our client are looking to hire a Fabrications Manager for their very busy facility in Billingham.
The purpose of the Fabrication Inspector is to carry out quality control activities at the production phase of the work from TP initial manufacture through to final sign off and handover to the client, ensuring that the relevant quality control processes and checkpoints are complied with.
To be considered for this role you will have the following qualifications and experience
Apprentice trained as a Plater/Shipwright in a heavy fabrication environment
A proven track record in Fabrication Quality Control.
A good understanding of the use of inspection and test plans
Be computer literate
Excellent attention to detail
Meticulous with records and report
Good communicator and team player
Good inwards/control inspection experience for trace-ability and inspection.
This is a dayshift role but may involve unsociable hours, working off site and worldwide travel to client meetings.
