2nd Line Engineer

Working in partnership with our client, the world's leading end to end IT services Company, we are seeking experienced IT professionals to join our growing team in Newcastle and take part in the largest migration project in Europe.

As a 2nd Line Engineer, you will be responsible for providing dedicated support to End Users in both the lead up to and post migration. This is a diverse role and duties will include:

• Driving process improvement and streamlining activities where applicable
• Managing all migration workstreams, key stakeholders and external vendors to ensure completion of their tasks prior to migration
• Escalating and managing migration events, providing relevant data for reporting purposes
• Providing status updates to all relevant parties to align migration activities
• Running scripts and appropriate tooling to perform migration events

In order to successfully deliver the project, we require candidates across the team with specialisms in a number of areas. As such, you will ideally have experience in some of following areas:

• SharePoint
• MOSS
• Desktop Operating Systems
• Active Directory
• MS Exchange
• Network Migrations
• Office 365

Out of hours and weekend work may also be required, therefore, the successful candidates should be able to provide a flexible approach to their working pattern. A current Microsoft certification and a degree in a relevant subject area would be advantageous however is not essential. Please note, the successful candidate must have or be able to obtain SC security clearance.
