An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our Global FMCG Clients, are currently seeking a PMO Analyst based at Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 12 months, working a 39 hour week. This role is paying between £25,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

In January 2018, our Client announced its intention to transfer a large proportion of production of Colman's products to Burton-upon-Trent Sourcing Unit, currently the production site for the UK's iconic Marmite brand. This is the largest strategic supply chain project in the UK in 2018/19 and opens up an exciting role for a PMO analyst. The person will need to have past PMO experience in order to successfully deliver in a complex, fast-paced supply chain project.

Role Outline


The PMO analyst will be the key person to develop the details behind project planning, the financial structure and ongoing rigour around the project. This person has a crucial role in ensuring that the project is delivered on-time, on-budget and at the right quality.


Responsibilities
- Preparing Financial Reports on a periodic basis

Budget tracking for all elements of the project

Savings tracking across all elements of the project

Analysing the financial impact of scope changes on the project

Establishing a periodic reporting framework for senior stakeholders

- Reviewing and analysing project spend on an ongoing basis

- Working with local sourcing unit to coordinate financial information flow between the factory and the project

- Monitoring project against time, budget and quality standards
- Providing effective day to day management support to the project manager
- Implementing governance standards across the portfolio, including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of programme deliverables
- Identifying areas for improvement and managing continuous programme control /process improvements

- Maintaining the programme risks, actions, issues and dependencies

- Managing change control process across all projects and portfolios
- Holding regular project meetings/workshops on CR (Change requests) and RAI, preparing minutes of meetings as appropriate
- Updating and administering the programme plan as required incorporating reports from Project Managers and the outcomes of project and board level meetings and workshops
- Managing communications to PMO
- Ensuring project plans are created and maintained, deliverables tracked against time and cost, and resource utilisation is monitored

Requirements

Must
- Strong analytical skills

- Experience of identifying and implementing process improvements
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages - in particular, Microsoft Excel
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- An understanding of the importance of detail and organisation
- Skilled at managing stakeholders and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness
- Very good prioritisation skills to balance key priorities

- Experience of working in supply chain

Preferred

- Knowledge of Project Management tools & techniques

- Experience in a Project Management Office

- Experience of managing small projects

- Basic accountancy skills

- Experience in the use of SAP
