Our client, one of the UK's leading energy providers, is looking for a Payroll/HR Administrator to join their Employee Services team on a temporary basis.
The Pay & Benefits Assistant is responsible for providing a quality administrative and process support service relating to variable pay and employee benefits.
You will be responsible for the accurate delivery of all variable pay and employee loan processes in time to meet the monthly payroll deadline and in compliance with internal audit controls. The team is also responsible for delivery of employee benefits and the accurate maintenance of benefits data.


Main responsibilities:
*Provide day to day administration and advice on Long Service Awards including production of certificates and reimbursements for the monetary award
*Operation of and provision of advice to employees, Line Managers and Senior Managers on the Flex Benefits and Company Healthcare schemes including liaison with individual benefit providers on product administration and invoicing
*Administer and advise on company-wide benefits (Gymflex, Cycle to Work, Season Ticket Loans etc) including approval of monthly order lists, set up of employee loans in SAP and invoicing
*Process variable pay in compliance with Company policy, and provide advice to employee and line manager enquiries as required relating to Commissions, Overtime, Excess Travel, First Aid, Leisure Lottery prizes, Casual Pay, Ex-Gratia payments, Voluntary Deductions, BACS advances and recoveries.
*Administer the process and respond to enquiries relating to leaver overpayments including maintenance of overpayments tracker. Negotiate and agree appropriate repayment plans where these are requested.
*Maintain HR and Payroll data in SAP, including the recording of Working Time Risk Assessments, in compliance with Data Protection and Regulatory requirements
*Contribute to, support and facilitate development of Employee Services system developments and continuous improvement projects

*Capable of exercising good judgement in recognising scope of authority

*Concise, clear and accurate written style
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
*Demonstrable evidence of administration experience
*Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and on own initiative
*Knowledge of SAP HR and Payroll system (advantageous)
*Understanding of taxable benefits (advantageous)
