Material Handler - Newton Aycliffe

Role Description

To supply the Moulding shop with the materials and equipment required of a daily production requirement.

Reporting to The Moulding Shop Manager, the successful applicant will:

• Ensure Shift Handover is effectively handled at the end of their shift.
• Provide day to day Management of Materials supplied to the Moulding machine.

Key Tasks

• To ensure that the Moulding machines are kept supplied with the correct plastic granules
• To correctly label all material and containers of material located in the moulding shop including bin stands, collars, scrap and reject containers
• To supply operators with anything required for sub assembly operations i.e.. Bags, pins, wheels, separators etc.
• To clean machine hoppers and driers for tool changes and variant changes
• To remove any material not in use and return to Stores with correct labelling
• To remove all scrap from the Moulding shop and move it into the granulator area
• To remove any correctly labelled finished goods from the Moulding shop and move into the Stores area
• Provide assistance with the building and supply of handling units when required
• General cleaning of machines and work areas when required
• To carry out operator duties when required

Skills & Qualifications

• The successful candidate should be able to drive a reach truck
• Operating a computer would be an advantage.

Additional Information

This role will be working on a three shift pattern of days (6am-2pm with 20% shift allowance), twilight (2pm-10pm with shift allowance of 20%) and nights (10am-6am with shift allowance of 33%).
