Role Description:



The individual will work as part of a field HR team based across the EMEA region and will function as an HR generalist covering a variety of HR activities. The role is hands-on and will provide full cycle HR support across the DACH region. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing best in class support to our managers and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.




Tasks & Responsibilities include:







Labour Relations



Prepare and lead the Health & Safety Committee meetings, the Staff Representative meetings and the Works Council meetings
Prepare and lead the Union meetings with respect to salary negotiations, complementary health insurance negotiations, profit share, equality and social matters etc.
Develop and provide mandatory legal reports for the WC and H&S Committee to include monthly headcount, health and safety reports, annual training plans, annual reports etc.




Training Plans



Define the training needs with management and the L&D Centre of Excellence and consult with the Works Council to agree an annual training plan.






Implementation of Global HR Programs



Implement effectively and in a timely manner global HR programs across the region, ensuring that any information and consultation requirements are led and completed with the Works Councils and Unions.
Global HR Programs may include annual merit review, performance review processes, Sales/Management & Profit Share Plan roll out, employee engagement surveys, Onboarding Programs, Leadership and Learning Development Programs, Succession Planning, Hi-Potential Programs, Reward & Recognition Programs etc.
Continuously review, develop and maintain harmonised policies, benefits, contracts of employment, systems and processes and driving the employee and manager self-service model.




Management of Payroll & HR Systems



Ensure that WorkDay and the payroll systems are kept up to date and that new starters, changes and leavers are processed correctly and in accordance with the defined timelines.
Manage and maintain the Leave of Absence system.
Ensure continuous effective partnership with payroll providers.
Ensure that SOX controls are maintained and fully complied with and that the relevant audits are fulfilled on time.




Management Support



Partner with the Country Leaders to support their business objectives.
Leadership coaching.
Managing HR change programs and support managers through the change processes.

Have a true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees and managers to ensure a high level of employee engagement
Experience within complex and matrixed work environments and the ability to adapt rapidly to change
Coaching skills
Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, engagement and succession planning programs
Success in managing the information and consultation processes with Works Councils and Unions, ensuring effective working partnerships and positive results
Flexibility, bias for action, strong work ethic and a desire to achieve excellence
A strong solutions-focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify issues and drive appropriate solutions
Strong customer service focus
Influence and the ability to interface at all levels of the organisation with credibility
Passion for continuous improvement.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.




Essential Qualifications



Fluent in German and English. Ability to communicate in Swiss/ Austrian/ French an advantage.
Minimum of 5 year's operating as an HR Generalist covering the full HR cycle.
Experience in an HR Generalist role within the DACH region for a global matrix organisation.
Flexibility to travel within the DACH region.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent post-secondary degree in Human Resources.
