Job Details
We require x3 Facilities Assistants immediately to work within Birmingham City University in their City South Campus in Edgbaston (Opposite the Botanical Gardens). This role requires a lot of physical and manual labour as well as an element of customer service.
Start Date: ASAP
End date of assignment: 29th June 2018 (with potential to extend)
Duties include:
* Movement of chairs and equipment
* Setting up meeting rooms with tables/ chairs
* Disposing of bin rubbish/ waste paper
* Minor repairs eg; door handles, changing light bulbs
* Distributing post and parcels
*For any of the larger requirements you would raise an order out to contractors.
You will need to have a friendly manner and have good customer service skills as you will be in constant contact with staff and students. Someone who has worked in a facilities environment or as a Caretaker/ Site Manager would be good for this position.
