Waste Operative

Manpower is currently looking for multiple Waste Operatives to join our client based in the heart of Exeter. This is a diverse role that will involve working with a wide variety of people across the site. We are ideally looking for someone who is available immediately and looking for ongoing work. This role is offered with flexible shift patterns that could fit around your lifestyle including morning, evening and weekend work with great rates of pay for weekend and evening work.

The requirements of the Waste Operative are…

• To collect, safely handle, transport and empty waste streams in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
• To ensure containers are tagged with the correct colour code
• Clean clinical and domestic waste bins with a pressure washer
• To sort waste at the collection points and prepare for collection by contractors
• To work on a roster system including mornings, evenings and weekends

The personal requirements of the Waste Operative are…

• A GCSE in English and Maths grade A - E
• Full driving licence
• Good interpersonal skills
• A team player who is comfortable doing physical work
