My Client is an aluminium recycling & waste reduction agent, priding themselves in the work they undertake to promote sustainability in global recycling programmes. As part of this programme, they are growing their operations at the Warrington site, & have a rare opportunity to introduce a Reliability Engineer to the Team.

What are the requirement of your new role:

Ensure reliability of our manufacturing processes by stabilising the performance of physical assets, defining and setting standards for the proper management and care of the assets and installation under his/her responsibility while ensuring optimum levels of availability, at the lowest total cost of ownership.

You will support and help deliver all mechanical activities across site. The job holder will support CAPEX/Revenue projects, be responsible for delivering Reliability, Site services, improving process performance through OEE improvements.

The role needs to have a strong view of the short to medium term to move the performance of the plant to one that is proactive, while supporting the day-to-day plant activities to ensure that the processes are reliable.

Liaison with operations to develop timely plans to reduce maintenance cost and impact to the process.

What skills do you already hold:


  • Problem solving techniques such as Root cause analysis, Fish Bone, 5 Why, Six sigma white or yellow belt or have good understanding.
  • Some Knowledge of TPM at any level or has worked in such environment. E.g. 5S, Gemba
  • Understand Overall equipment effectiveness and can create and read graphs and Machine Availability figures analysis.
  • Collect and collate data to present and graphical manner.
  • SAP trained a plus. Able to raise requisitions and work orders (can be trained here)
  • Can support and create standard Maintenance procedure
  • Understanding of condition Based Maintenance and its tools.
  • Can investigate machine issues that are costing major downtime or regular downtime and can raise incident reports and think/discuss and implement solution to such problems.
  • Able to deal with Contractors and Health and safety aware and dealt with Risk assessments, Method statements and work Permits before.

  • You already understand & promote the safe work ethics and Health and Safety (Trained in Nebosh a plus) or has experience working in difficult/heavy industry environments preferred

    • Lowest cost of ownership. Life cycle costing.
    • Control of spend v each of the physical assets.

    Maintenance

    • Preventive maintenance improvement
    • Delivery of CAPEX & Revenue projects
    • Spares for each asset.
    • Feedback of PM, planned & unplanned maintenance (SAP)
    • Predictive Maintenance (PCM) and aiding with the development of PdM's

    Performance

    • Monitoring the performance of the assets through key KPI's; OEE, MTTR, MTBF

    Training

    • Training Reliability as a culture

    Health & Safety

    • Ensure conformance of the site QEHS policy when carrying out maintenance activities.
