HGV Technician (Dungannon)

Manpower are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician on behalf of our client, who operate a busy commercial vehicle workshop in the Dungannon area.

Located conveniently off the M1 motorway, modern and large workshop environment, long term and stable opportunity.

The successful candidate will need to be Level 3 qualified in Heavy Vehicle Repair (or similar), preferably with mechanical experience on commercial vehicles.

The Role

Working in a busy workshop environment, you will be conducting mechanical repairs and servicing across a variety of commercial vehicles from Vans, 7.5 tonne vehicles to heavier Trucks and Buses. You will be required to carry out repairs, diagnose faults and complete routine servicing maintenance on vehicles to a high standard.

You will also prepare vehicles for PSV and report to line manager on progress of repairs.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will have fully qualified experience working on commercial vehicles and trucks, preferably in a modern workshop environment.

A good level of diagnostic ability on HGV's is preferred

Candidates from a light vehicle background who can demonstrate knowledge and experience on heavy vehicles will also be considered.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience in addition to ongoing training and development opportunities.

This is a full time permanent position, with overtime opportunities available.

HGV License would be beneficial but not essential
