An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client are currently looking for a Rebate Specialist based at their prestigious facility in Leatherhead, Surrey. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying between £25000 - £28,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.

Background:

The role is a key part of the Customer Finance Transactions area. It is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated self-starter to gain further experience within a fast-growing channel; working closely with CD business partners to help deliver key business KPI's.

Main Job Purpose:

The role ensures that rebate transactions in their specific customer area are all carried out correctly within the Service Level Agreement. The role will focus on the raising and processing of customer rebates ownership of the customer balance sheet, as well as dispute and claims management. There will be a strong emphasis on building and managing relationships both internally and externally with customers and on delivering process excellence and efficiency. The person in this role will become a Trade Terms Discounts Specialist and have Exposure to both Finance and Supply Chain within Unilever.

Key Deliverables/ Accountabilities:

To work autonomously with CD (Customer Development), FET (Finance Excellence Team) and our 3rd party service provider and Customers to:

Create rebate agreements in an accurate and timely manner.

Ensure all promotional claims are accurately matched to rebates authorised correctly.

Identify and deliver process improvements on the end to end process which benefit internal and external customers.

Key Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong organisational ability as keeping records up to date and tracking work done is important in this role.

  • Being able to provide evidence of being able to deliver through influencing others and holding them accountable would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills to provide key stakeholders with a vision and plan for implementing changes

Experience in coaching others, team building and the ability to identify issues, identify root causes and drive corrective action would be required.

  • Previous transactional accounting experience would be a benefit whether gained from a query management, accounts payable or credit control role.
  • Experienced user of SAP - desirable
  • Excel to an intermediate level (Pivot's and V Lookups)
