Job Details
The B2B marketing team at Birmingham City University requires a Marketing Assistant for a temporary period of two months to support activities across the team.
Location: BCU, University House, Birmingham City Centre
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
As well as general marketing support, activities may include, but may not be limited to:
Supporting Marketing Officers with:
- Adding and editing content on BCU and external partner websites
- Proof reading content
- Liaising with and chasing deliverables from internal and external suppliers
- Supporting with event preparations and set up
Supporting CRM Officer with:
- Cleaning and formatting Excel spread sheets containing contact data
- Uploading contact data onto CRM system and email campaign tools
- Ensuring that clean post campaign data is updated correctly on CRM
- Tagging data and updating contact details within CRM to develop data intelligence
Person specification:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 12 months experience of performing such tasks within a similar role
- Excellent written and communication skills are essential
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are essential
- Demonstrable experience of working with CRM system and contact/customer data
- Demonstrable experience of using CMS systems to add/edit content to websites
- Experience working with/co-ordinating projects requiring contributions from multiple stakeholders to deliver against strict deadlines
- Excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Excellent proof reading skills
- Understanding of SEO within written copy is preferable
- Experience of working with Mailchimp is preferable
- Ability to work on their own initiative
- A completer finisher with strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work
