Transport Planner

Transport Planner - Exeter - 27K / 30K depending on experience

Manpower Exeter has the privilege of working with one of the largest agricultural feed business in Europe. You will be working for a rapidly expanding business that is currently going from strength to strength. They are on the lookout for a Transport planner to join their team at their Exeter Branch.

This company's office is only short car journey away from local amenities and easy for a commute with access to junction 29 and 30 of the M5. The Park and ride is also very close.

About the role:

As the new Transport Planner your duties will include:

Routing vehicles within a fast paced, multi-drop environment, Planning vehicles, ensuring all consignments have driver cover and that incoming consignments are covered;

You will be ensuring maximum profitability of each given route; Managing the departure times of trucks to the required schedule;

You will be confidently liaising with Drivers when briefing and de-briefing them and pre-planning work for allocation and loading.

About the ideal candidate:

As the ideal candidate you will need to have Previous Transport Planning experience with great knowledge of the Paragon transport planning system. Having a good Geographical knowledge of the Exeter and surrounding area would be a huge plus.

You must be computer literate on all Microsoft Applications and have a confident telephone manner and customer service skills.

Flexible in regards to shift patterns

4 on 4 off
