An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Global FMCG Client have an opening for a Scientific Data Specialist to be based at their prestigious Research & Development Facility in Port Sunlight, Wirral. This is a full time, temporary role for 12 months, paying £20,010 per annum, pro rata, Monday to Friday.

Our clients Hair business is a multi-billion euro business with a strong portfolio of brands including Dove, Sunsilk, Tresemme, TiGi, VO5 that span all regions globally. The complexity of the portfolio is managed through driving quality of our raw material specifications in our formulations to deliver world class products to our consumers.

This role is based in a small Global team reporting to the Hair Global Specification Leader.

Key tasks include

  • Working closely with project leaders and Ingredient Specialists to define critical parameters of the materials we purchase and use in Hair formulations.
  • Liaising with Global suppliers and 3rd party manufacturers to define the information required to ensure materials purchased are fit for purpose, compliant with regulatory bodies and are safety approved.
  • Draft and create specifications for Fragrances.
  • Working with Material Expert teams and Procurement teams to write Raw Material Specifications that align to Category and Business Strategy

Training will be supplied on specific databases and internal processes.

The role offers a great insight to anyone who would be keen to work in product development and is interested in building a solid background into the components of Personal Care formulations.

Skills Required:

  • Chemistry focused degree especially if linked with Analytical Chemistry modules.
  • Specific Skills
