Legal Cashier, Hull

We are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join our established and busy Cashiers department.

Training will be provided on our systems, however a good cashiering knowledge and skill set as a base is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To operate the firm's computerised accounts system, including posting of client and office account transactions and undertaking monthly reconciliations.
  • To review and agree conveyancing completion statements and to process relevant payments by TT, BACS or cheque as required.
  • To undertake such training as may be necessary and agreed.
  • To comply with the requirements of the Office Manual and the LEXCEL requirements.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm's and client's documentation and information.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent IT skills and ability to use Word, Excel and to develop skills in our Accounts and Case Management Systems.
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm for figures.
  • Integrity and ability to work with care and precision.
  • Knowledge of the requirements under Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
