Yard / Shop / Office Administrator

The role requires the successful candidate to reload delivery vehicles, manage the shop sales and serve the general public. This will involve taking payments and retrieving gas cylinders, from the yard stock, for retail, trade and Stockist collect customers. The client requires the candidate to also perform a number of ad hoc tasks that support the sales function and stock management of the shop

This role requires manual handling and physical work so the preferred candidate will be sufficiently fit to perform these tasks, the successful candidate will preferably have experience working in a shop or a similar role taking orders and receiving payments and must be computer literate. This varied role requires administrative skills to work in a fast paced shop/office environment dealing with customer calls and order taking. Therefore the candidate must be able to demonstrate customer focus and be able to work as part of a team. Additional sought after attributes and skills include a quick learner, the ability to learn how to use internal computer systems, and an excellent phone manner.

A current Counterbalance License would be preferred but is not essential.

The hours of work are 9.00am -17.00pm Mon - Fri and Saturday Mornings to be worked on a rota basis or as requested, and be prepared to work a Bank Holiday on a rota basis, when demand requires. Standard rate will be paid at £8.41 and Weekends paid at £12.62.
