Manpower is looking for a number of Part Time Ward Hostess/Catering assistants to join one of our most valued clients, an NHS trust Bridgend. The trust is looking for hard-working and reliable individuals to join their team in a very busy environment.

This Catering assistant position provides an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to kick start your career within the NHS, to develop new skills in a range of areas including Restaurant or Kitchen and then for the right candidate progressing onto the wards as a ward hostess and in addition to this you will be building some strong and rewarding relationships with both staff and patients alike.

As a Ward Hostess/ Catering assistant within the NHS Trust your main responsibilities will include:

*Ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained at all times
*Helping to ensure the food service is done on time and efficiently in a very busy environment
*Providing a high level of Customer Service
*Food Preparation within the Kitchen as and when required
*Cleaning/Dishwasher and also shut down procedures
*Offering refreshments & meals on the wards to patients and relatives


In order to be successful within this role you will be a friendly, reliable, self- motivated, approachable individual. Additionally you will need to have some previous food service experience within a work place and a basic food hygiene certificate would be desirable however we can provide an online course for you to complete.

Please be aware for this role we will need to conduct a DBS check for the successful candidate. All costs for this will be covered by Manpower.

Uniform is provided and free parking is available on and around site. The hospital is on a good public transport links. Full training provided and as a Manpower employee you will get weekly pay, paid holidays and a Manpower pension.

This role is offering £7.50 per hour standard pay with also Time and a half on Saturdays and Double time on Sundays and Bank holidays then standard pay rising to £7.90 after 12 week period. You will work across 7 days on a shift pattern so flexibility is a must and you will work between the hours of 7am and 8pm.
