My Client is an aluminium recycling & waste reduction agent, priding themselves in the work they undertake to promote sustainability in global recycling programmes. As part of this programme, they are growing their operations at the Warrington site, & have an exciting opportunity to introduce a Reliability Engineer to the Team.

This role would actively suit someone who has worked across multi discipline or maintenance who is looking for that "step up" with a 70/30 split to hands on & desk duty.

What does your new role look like?

  • You will ensure reliability of our manufacturing processes by stabilising the performance of physical assets, defining and setting standards for the proper management and care of the assets and installation under his/her responsibility while ensuring optimum levels of availability, at the lowest total cost of ownership.

  • Strong Electrical, Control, Automation and Instrumentation skills with minimum HNC qualification (depending upon experience) to BEng in Electrical/Instrumentation.
  • You will lend support and help deliver all electrical activities across site. The job holder will support CAPEX/Revenue projects, be responsible for delivering Reliability, Site services, improving process performance through OEE improvements.
  • You will posses a strong view of the short to medium term to move the performance of the plant to one that is proactive, while supporting the day-to-day plant activities to ensure that the processes are reliable.
  • You will regularly liaise with operations to develop timely plans to reduce maintenance cost and impact to the process.

What responsibility will you hold:

Cost

  • Lowest cost of ownership.
  • Life cycle costing.
  • Control of spend v each of the physical assets.

Maintenance

  • Preventive maintenance improvement
  • Delivery of CAPEX & Revenue projects
  • Spares for each asset.
  • Obsolescence planning and execution for Automation system
  • Calibration system of critical assets
  • Predictive Maintenance (PCM) and aiding with the development of PdM's

Performance

  • Monitoring the performance of the assets through key KPI's; OEE, MTTR, MTBF

Training

  • Training Reliability as a culture

Health & Safety

  • Ensure conformance of the site QEHS policy when carrying out maintenance activities
