My Client is an aluminium recycling & waste reduction agent, priding themselves in the work they undertake to promote sustainability in global recycling programmes. As part of this programme, they are growing their operations at the Warrington site, & have a brand new & exciting opportunity to introduce a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to the Team.

  • As a Continuous Improvement Coordinator you will support and apply lean and six sigma methodologies to solving business problems along with leading continuous improvement events.

  • You will also support the implementation and initiatives such as PM´s by developing systems and procedures that will enable these initiatives to be practically used and easily managed by the Shift Manager & Lead Engineers

  • You will support to both the Shift Manager and Lead Engineer in implementing solutions to problems, and being a point of contact and coach to operators in the Unit.

  • You will be expected to standardise the supporting documents and communication boards throughout the cell, to allow the cell to become more transparent and familiar to those working in the cell, and also those visiting.

    • To ensure all work implemented meets the standard of the world class manufacturing site, looks professional and will be robust to the environment we work.What challenges will your new role present you with?

  • Current work routines and processes are rapidly changing due to the implementation of SAP and World Class Manufacturing which impacts all employees at the site

  • Deliver service improvement activity across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
  • Work with key stakeholders and Lean Champions to build sustainable change.
  • Coach in theory and practical elements of the 6S methodology, supporting leaders in implementing 6S activities, developing, standardising documentation, signs and control boards within the cell.
  • Drive value stream mapping to define "As Is Analysis"
  • Facilitate workshops
  • Ensure tools and equipment used for operations, 6s and PMs is available at least cost and most convenience
  • Management, review and follow up of suggestions from workforce

  • Continue educational efforts concerning Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence

You will earnestly promote progress towards Manufacturing Excellence Standards by working with local deployment leaders and management.

This role would suit someone who has played an active role in the manufacturing improvement planning & processes, who has a desire to be among & learn from & potentially even progress to Yellow Belt Status.

You will be a part of achieving a world class manufacturing site of excellence & grow with the role as it progresses.
