An opportunity has arisen for an Inventory Control Analyst / Operator to join the team in Erskine.

You will investigate inventory discrepancies by interrogating company systems and working the investigations through First Pass/Second Pass. You will also recommend write off if required. You will also be accountable for ensuring that full details of all investigations are updated into the Inventory Discrepancy Tool.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all inventory records are accurately maintained in the relevant business tools
  • Running reports on company systems to identify assets aging in WIP (inbound and outbound) and working with the relevant operation within the TRC to ensure issues are investigated and resolved
  • Ensure that cycle counts are on target by using the Cycle Count Tool to identify and forecast the bins to be counted
  • Ensuring that Cycle Count Records are saved into the relevant repository
  • Running inventory reports to highlight the misplacement of stock and working with the Warehouse team to resolve errors
  • Monitoring grade scrap locations to ensure all assets are accounted for and dispositioned on scrap orders whilst ensuring that scrap trackers are maintained and all approvals are saved into the relevant repository
  • Ensuring that adequate preparation is carried out in advance of the annual physical inventory count
  • Coordinating the first pass recounts identified during the PI Count
  • Updating key inventory metrics onto the Inventory Scorecard

You should be proficient in the use of MS systems (and in particular Excel which is used to log and analyse inventory data).
