Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant required on a 9-12 month Fixed Term Contract. Salary DOE and will attract an enhancement due to requirement for occasional travel to Denmark and other sites around the UK.

Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities and tasks:

Month-end closing tasks including journal postings, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations etc.

* Assisting the controlling team with various monthly reports and other deliveries

* Liaising with project and service teams to secure accurate financial housekeeping

* Preparing documentation for external audits

* Journals i.e. movement of expenses, C2C (cost to complete), Retrofits & Accruals

* Balance sheets

* Stock obsolescence

* Allocations for each site at month end and UK service resource centre

* GRIR (good received, income received) report chasing sites

* T&M (time and material) reporting including entering it in Risk &OPS

* Supporting with work for the consolidated meeting

* Setting up month files

* Audit prep

* Pulling report from AX for help managers

* Ad hoc tasks within accounting and to some extent also controlling

Qualifications and work experience:

The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of experience from a similar position within accounting and preferably in an international company.

Moreover, we expect you to have:

* A working style characterised by the ability to structure, prioritise, focus on quality and meet deadlines

* A good general business understanding

* An experiences excel user or super user.

* Fluent in English, both in writing and orally

* Flexible Working during month and year-end periods

* AAT or Equivalent

Additional information

The primary work location is Warrington, UK. Limited travel activity to Denmark and Service site within the UK must be expected.
