Transport Planner

Manpower Exeter has the privilege of working with one of the largest agricultural feed business in Europe. You will be working for a rapidly expanding business that is currently going from strength to strength. They are on the lookout for a Transport planner to join their team at their Exeter Branch.

This company's office is only a short car journey away from local amenities and easy for a commute with access to junction 29 and 30 of the M5. The Park and ride is also very close.

About the role

As the new Transport Planner your duties will include:

Routing vehicles within a fast paced, multi-drop environment, Planning vehicles, ensuring all consignments have driver cover and that incoming consignments are covered;

You will be ensuring maximum profitability of each given route; Managing the departure times of trucks to the required schedule;

You will be confidently liaising with Drivers when briefing and de-briefing them and pre-planning work for allocation and loading.

About the ideal candidate:

As the ideal candidate you will need to have previous Transport Planning experience and a good Geographical knowledge of Exeter and the surrounding area.

You must be computer literate on all Microsoft Applications and have a confident telephone manner and customer service skills.
