Are you a Senior Control Systems Engineer able to manage and lead projects?

Do you love Engineering and enjoy making things work?

Can you program PLC, SCADA, HMI, and VMD systems for offshore applications?

Then you will be interested in this minimum 1 year contract appointment with our client, a prestigious engineering business with operations in UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Americas supplying integrated offshore vessels and equipment. Their 3000 strong workforce services customers in the seabed to surface oil and gas, and renewable energy markets.

As part of this successful and busy Engineering team you will enjoy a forward thinking culture and progressive environment, reporting into the Management team you will be based out of the companies UK offices engineering facilities located in Newcastle and the North East UK with candidate outside of the are welcomed.

You will join as part of the systems team to lead projects providing integrated Control, Electrical and Hydraulic solutions. You will be expected to lead the software team on the technical front, ensuring that effective solutions are provided adhering to both internal regulations and best practise and also ISO9001 standard. Your duties will also involve managing the projects, ensuring on budget completion and striving to save costs where possible. You will liaise both internally and with clients to ensure that the project progress on time and provide any training to clients and staff when necessary. In return you will receive an excellent daily rate upon appointment.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

- Experience in lead role within a similar software engineering environment for the offshore industry.

- Significant Experience in programming PLC, SCADA, HMI and VSD systems

- Experience working to the ISO9001 standards on previous projects.

- Strong competency with IT systems and tools.

- Possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

- Happy to undertake national and international travel, must have a current full UK/EU driving license and valid passport

- Industrial safety systems including FMEA analysis (Desirable)

- Experience programming software including C/C++ C# etc. (desirable)

- Previous experience working with hydraulic systems. (desirable)
