Commercial Sales Officer

Manpower is currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Sales Officer for a temporary assignment within West Sussex County Council. This role is to start as soon as possible and due to run until November 2018.

As a Commercial Sales Officer, duties will include reactive and proactive sales activity for a variety of commercial marketing projects. For example: Trading Standards Buy with Confidence scheme, Highways roundabout sponsorship, Fire Training and various publications. You will be required to work closely with various services particularly Highways to deliver best value collaborative activity. The role includes customer sales and negotiation, liaison with key stakeholders and some event management to keep the projects moving smoothly. Local knowledge is an advantage but full training and support will be provided.

We're looking for an experienced sales person with good customer relationship skills, able to negotiate and deliver effective and efficient results. You will be required to update systems, spreadsheets and use other tools for the job. Knowledge of graphic design artwork is desirable.

The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, able to negotiate as well as having a keen eye for detail. An intermediate level of MS Office is required, specifically Excel.
