An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue chip FMCG company, is currently seeking a Project Management Analyst based on-site in Port Sunlight, Wirral. This is a full-time, temporary role for a period of 12 months (possibly longer), Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, to start between the end of July - Sept 2018. The role is paying between £25,000 and £27,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

UPM drives project delivery in a dynamic and international environment offering project management as a service. This role sits in the UPM Practice team which is a key function within UPM. The Practice Team are responsible and accountable for driving improvement in the adoption of project management standards. In addition, the team is responsible to deliver UPM operational processes and deployment and development of the Project Management tool, Phoenix. Phoenix is a company version of Microsoft Project Online.

MAIN PURPOSE

The individual is responsible to manage deployment of the UPM processes and project management methodologies, including deployment of the Phoenix tool to new business areas, new UPM lead projects and new individual users. The individual is responsible for managing the end to end process from initial scope definition to full activation. This role also includes improving the Phoenix tool by analysing business requirements, documenting processes and designing solutions. You will work closely with the lead contacts for each business area to recommend and implement process and design improvements. The role requires a strong focus on users and the technical aptitude to work with technology teams.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Drive and own the Development & Deployment process for Phoenix
  • Conducting Business Impact Assessments for Phoenix Changes, driving change requests on behalf of the user group, ensuring communication of change and impacts of other developments
  • Document, review and improve processes for development and deployment to new business areas and projects
  • Implement agreed ways of working for the operation of the tool, ensuring standards are defined and documented
  • Key point of contact for business areas into UPM, representing the business areas in phoenix forums
  • Deliver UPM Operational processes for on-boarding of individuals and new UPM Transformation projects

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Good communication & presentation skills
  • Strong computer and analytical skills - proficient in the use of Microsoft packages i.e. Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Methodical with good attention to detail
  • The ability to work cross teams and to influence others will be key
  • An aptitude to learn new software as use of Microsoft Project Online is fundamental in this role.
  • A minimum of good GCSE grades in Maths and English

Preferred

  • NVQ level 4 in IT or Project Management
