An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue chip FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum, is currently looking for a Supply Chain Project Planner, based at their prestigious facility in Leatherhead. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 12 months (with potential extension), working a 36.25 hour week. The role is paying between £31,200 and £37,050 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Background/General Purpose of Position:

The delivery of right-first-time innovations into the marketplace at perfect Quality is fundamental to driving the growth ambition of Unilever's categories. The Category Innovation Planner (Supply Chain Project Planner) plays a key role in bringing these innovations to life. The projects range from large step-change projects, led globally and delivered regionally over a longer time scale, to country-specific or targeted activities which require focused effort by a cross functional team in short timescales to shape and react to market conditions.

Specifically the Innovation Planner is responsible for the creation and management of the network of activities required to bring innovations to market across a defined portfolio. This is achieved predominantly through regular project meetings with the cross-functional team.

Responsible for specific Brand(s) Portfolio, key contact for marketing, R&D, and supply chain

The planner will be totally responsible for managing complex projects involving either:

High number of SKU replacement

High technical challenge

High turnover

Supply chain configuration changes.

They will need to be able to accurately assess the impact of such changes on the category SC and it is expected that projects will be managed with a input/support from WL2 managers

Required to make an assessment of the necessary capacities and capabilities to produce the innovations.

Ensuring capex requirements or impact to SC costs are highlighted at appropriate points in the project e.g. Concept Design Lock/Contract book

Responsible for managing the project from a SC perspective including the creation of the network timings (i.e. planning the project) and ensures together with the project leader that the project remains "on track" and delivers On time in Full.

Required to work with external suppliers/3rd Parties to understand key timings/constraints and may need to develop and manage networks or implementation plans.

As the supply chain representative of cross functional innovation teams will provide links into Category Supply & Material Supply Teams, relevant Sourcing Units and/or the Contract Operations Team. He/she will also be required to build in external customer requirements into innovations as relevant.

Key Experience and Qualifications Required

Degree Level qualified

Minimum of 2 years' experience of Supply Chain/Logistics function (ideally FMCG)

Demonstrated ability in Project management and cross-functional team working.

Experience in Microsoft Office, especially Excel/MS Project & SAP

Excellent communication skills at all levels
