Main purpose of job:

To manage a designated portfolio of buyer accounts, developing strong relationships and trust through regular telephone campaign lead contact and consistently delivering high levels of customer service. Improving buyer engagement and increasing sales volumes are the key measures of success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with designated buyers, in compliance with the company's business ethics and practices, to encourage wider engagement from the buyer base.
  • Create and maintain accurate and up to date buyer records within the system - regarding contact details, dealer profiles and stock requirements.
  • Complete a range of telesales and telemarketing campaigns set out by the account manager, and update the system accordingly.
  • Negotiate sales, predominantly over the telephone, within agreed parameters and submit bids to the account manager where appropriate.
  • Set-up and complete appropriate follow-up actions and process enquiries within strict guidelines, using the system.
  • Work with the account manager to create action plans to develop buyer behaviour and sales engagement across a range of online sales platforms and physical sale locations.
  • Use analytic information to influence the telesales/telemarketing activity, and feedback pertinent market insight to the account manager and into the system.
  • Develop product knowledge and brand expertise by researching the model range and learning through a variety of sources.
  • Undertake tasks as necessary to meet the business needs and for your own personal development.
  • Ensure that all Quality and Health & Safety standards are met or exceeded at all times.
  • Have a full (Car) driving license as attendance at meetings at other sites may be required. This may involve occasional overnight stays.

The role of Sales Executive requires a high degree of relationship building with buyers - hence the jobholder must be able to gain trust and confidence by detailed account management, industry knowledge and strong interpersonal skills. Should be able to work as part of a team and have efficient time management capability.

The job holder should be keen to develop their own personal communication and sales skills in order to achieve targets and adapt to a changing market place.

Essential Criteria

Have a good understanding of Microsoft Office products and the relevant IT media.

Strong sales skills, negotiation skills, confident and outgoing.

The ability to plan calls and call content, demonstrate objection handling skills and achieve results is a must.

Desirable Criteria

It would be advantageous for the Sales Executive to be knowledgeable about the cars available and understand the market value of the vehicles being offered.
