An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client a household name in home boilers as they are currently looking for a Part-Time Receptionist (16 hours) to work in Bamber Bridge, Preston. This is an ongoing temporary contract working 16 hours per week, with hours of Monday and Tuesday 8am-5pm. The role is paying a salary of £8136.96 pro rata, equivalent to £9.78 per hour.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To receive visitors to Baxi Heating UK, Preston Operations, ensuring they are booked in and that they are dealt with in a professional, polite and timely manner, and to notify the relevant member of staff. To answer all incoming calls efficiently, politely and professionally, deal with enquiries and transfer calls as appropriate. To ensure reception area and conference rooms are maintained in a tidy fashion. To provide refreshments for guests when required.

KEY TASKS:


  • Receive, welcome and book in all visitors.
  • Provide refreshments as and when required in meeting rooms.
  • Respond to and deal with all telephone calls efficiently and politely.
  • Utilise the telephone system efficiently, and all the facilities available through it.
  • Provide general typing and administrative support within the HR department and to other departments according to agreed priorities.
  • Ensure efficient booking of all conference/meeting rooms, including the taking of orders for catering requirements and liaising with the appropriate caterers accordingly.
  • Provide cover for alternate receptionist as required e.g. sickness, holidays. (May occasionally involve working over the normal agreed hours of work.)

  • SKILLS REQUIRED

    • NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
    • 3 years as a senior receptionist in a similar environment
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
    • Excellent communication skills, diplomacy and confidentiality are required in this role.
    • Must be highly presentable.

    The jobholder will be responsible for ensuring that the reception area and the conference rooms are maintained to a high standard at all times, and that all external contact with the company is carried out in a professional manner.

    High degree of flexibility required to deal with competing priorities and to provide cover.
