Class 2 Driver

Manpower are currently recruiting for Class 2 Drivers on a permanent basis for our client, a world leading distribution company.

You will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries of chilled, ambient and frozen food products, within an agreed timescale.

Key duties of the role include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct a full vehicle inspection and fuelling of vehicle
• Safe and efficient handling of the vehicle
• Responsibility for the security of the vehicle and load at all times
• Comply with all Company and Customer delivery procedures
• Complete and return all documentation and equipment to depot daily
• Collect food waste from customer and empty prior to ending shift
• Report any vehicle defects and ensure any defects are documented
• Attend driver's debrief at the end of the shift and provide information relating to shift
• Comply with all legislative driving regulations

The ideal candidate must hold a current LGV licence with previous experience of multi-drop. You must have a full clean driving licence and have knowledge of the legal requirements applicable to European Working Directive and Road Transport Directive. It is important that you have excellent communication skills with the ability to use your own initiative and organise your own workload. You must be customer focussed and a team player.

Shifts:

4 shifts from 7, averaging 48 hours per week

Shifts start from 0400 hours

Shifts between 1900 and 0600 have a 10% shift premium

Additional shift premium is paid if you work a 6th shift
