Due to a further period off growth, I am happy to be supporting the ongoing success of my Client to find a Yard Supervisor to support a manufacturing & reconditioned pallet site. The successful Candidate will manage all repair workshops and prepare customer deliveries taking into account finished stock

How will you be measured?

  • Performance will be monitored in line with the company handbook, attendance and timekeeping policies and procedures and specific production targets

What will you be responsible for?

  • Responsibility for the site being equipped with the necessary material and tools
  • Ensure repair benches are producing expected output, as well as the required quality
  • Identify full load of product for delivery to the customer and communicate stock levels and availability on a daily basis
  • Complete regular stock counts (month end and ad-hoc)
  • Cooperate with ongoing training and development and participate in the company's appraisal system

What will your day look like?

  • To supervise the workshop teams and the workshop FLT drivers at site and participate as a key member within the leadership team
  • Ensure that all man power and machinery resources are available and utilized to meet the site's delivery performance and other KPI's
  • Set individual targets for the work force to ensure weekly KPIs are achieved
  • Ensure regular communications with all team members are maintained
  • To lead, develop and motivate the teams, focusing on productivity to specified quality standards and customer requirements
  • Drive a performance culture, through the teams to achieve set targets, concentrating on maximising efficiencies and minimising any quality failures
  • Supervision of the Forklift truck drivers and Repairers team, including all disciplinary matters and adherence to the company's hand book/ rules and regulations
  • Conduct regular team and individual appraisals in line with company policies and procedures
  • Provide supervision of the whole yard for the back shift (4pm to 6pm)

You will ensure a quality product leaves the site at all tiimes by:

  • Check accuracy of operation regularly
  • Report any non-conforming pallets to your Site Operations Manager
