On-site Contract / Recruitment Consultant

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Manpower for an On-site Contract Consultant to work independently and manage temporary workers at one of our client's offices in Barnwood, Gloucestershire. This position would suit an individual with proven recruitment knowledge, good administration and IT skills, who is also keen to develop their HR expertise.

This role is to be offered at 30 hours per week, either across 4 or 5 days (hours can be negotiated) on a pay rate of £16,000 to £16,469 per annum (this is the pro-rata amount). The successful candidate will be working on their own for Manpower in the client's office, but will have the continuous support of the wider team via email, phone and site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

*Administration, to include payroll administration, new starter set up, processing of holiday requests, sickness certifications, leavers process etc.
*Telephone screening candidates and arranging interviews.
*Provide a point of professional communication between the client and the Manpower staff on-site.
*Processing security vetting applications.
*HR support with the management of all temporary staff including inductions, absence and performance management, holiday scheduling, etc.
*Develop understanding of the appropriate use of disciplinary and grievance procedure.
*Informal and formal meetings with client and temporary staff regarding any issues, concerns or queries.


Essential Skills and Attributes:

*Demonstrable administrative skills.
*Confident communicator via both written and verbal formats to a wide range of stakeholders.
*Confident in the use of Word/Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly.
*Able to work independently.
*Desire to work in a fast paced role with every changing priorities and deadlines.
*Proven experience within Recruitment/HR, or a strong desire to develop within both of these areas.
