Customer Support Services Administrator - Kingswinford (DY6 8BN)

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Administrator to join one of the UK's leading Energy Provider.

You'll initially work for Manpower on a temporary basis but there's opportunity to become an E.ON permanent employee.

* Hourly rate £8.00 increasing to £8.55per hour after 12 consecutive weeks
* Length of assignment: Temporary on going
* Hours: Monday - Friday, between 9am- 6pm (37 hours per week)

  • Annual leave entitlement of 26 days a year pro rata for the first 12 weeks, and 34 days per annum thereafter (including bank holidays)
    * There are good transport links and local free parking and free drinks vending machines.

  • Job Purpose

You will be responsible for the accurate processing and validating of data. Build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues across the business, making outbound calls to gather accurate information for processing jobs and updating systems.

Key Activities

  • Ensure all customer queries that are passed on to another team are done so in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that work undertaken is accordance with company policies and procedures - in particular - HSSE, Ofgem, Elexon.
  • Processing and validating data into core database's in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible for managing and prioritising workload within team's mailbox, responding to emails within agreed SLA's.
  • Recognise and highlight any service enhancement opportunities (i.e. identifying process improvements which will reduce job failure).
  • Accurately complete daily work through data entry within agreed SLA and KPI's.

Main responsibilities of role

  • Proactively dealing with a variety of customer enquiries/exceptions (both internal and external) and issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operates within a clearly defined framework and to agreed company policies and standards, whilst applying appropriate levels of discretion in order to ensure the effective resolution of issues.
  • Ensures actions are taken on all customer accounts to improve billing accuracy, data quality.
  • Work closely with colleagues to improve own business, systems and process knowledge in accordance with the agreed competency framework.
  • Customer data quality and on-going improvements in customer account accuracy.

Key skill requirements

Essential

  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong and effective customer service skills including listening skills, building a rapport and empathy with customers and interpreting issues, problems and resolutions.
  • Ability to plan and organise own workload to agreed deadlines and performance criteria.
  • Basic level of analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Speed and Accuracy with Data Entry and ability to prioritise workload.

Desirable

  • Competent and confident PC skills to include MS Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong team player.
