Manpower is currently recruiting for a Branch Supervisor for our client based in Swindon on a temporary to permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the branch and the spray shop trade counter including order processing, accurate stock control, manufacturing of paint colours, customer service and operational support for the Area Business Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • To receive and load orders correctly onto the Sales Order Processing System.
  • To serve customers at the trade counter, over the phone, via email and the Business Manager offering best advice on application and product usage.
  • To manufacture Fastmatch Colour accurately in branch for all customer requirements where possible.
  • To ensure the FM branch quality control system is followed and accurate records are retained.
  • To increase sales at every opportunity by selling additional allied products from the companies range.
  • To correctly process all paperwork and ensure cash receipts and petty cash are kept safe for banking.
  • To ensure that the branch is correctly stocked to service customer demand without exceeding stock targets.
  • To ensure that the branch is clean, tidy, secure and safe for customers and employees alike and to carry out a regular inspection of the site and report any faults or deficiencies to the National Branch Manager.
  • To maintain records of any failures in service and to compile management reports as requested by the National Branch Manager.
  • Use the appropriate PPE for the job at all times.
  • To ensure that all stock control functions comply with the relevant procedural requirements.
  • To be flexible and be available for cover in other areas if required.
  • Accurately control the stock at branches and carryout 100% stocktaking each month
  • Make sure the Goods Left Off from deliveries is kept to a minimum.
  • Make sure that goods sent on third party carriers is minimal
  • Make sure that the branch is secure and safe and that all goods and cash are handled correctly
  • Make sure that the Phones are answered promptly and any over spill calls to Woodley are kept to a minimum
  • To liaise with the Woodley departments to ensure that all issues affecting customers or cost are fully addressed
  • To remain correctly dressed and present a smart professional image to the customer at all times.
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks as required

Working hours are Mon to Thurs 8:00am to 17:00pm and Friday 8:00am to 16:00, no weekends or bank holidays. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and have a background or knowledge within the paint trade.
